Servlet Engine

Purpose

The Servlet Engine is the container that runs the InstiHire Web Application.

Current

The current servlet engine is Apache Tomcat 6 running under Java 7.

Planned

We are planning on moving to Apache Tomcat 7 for the initial release. As Java 7 is no longer officially supported, we need to look at moving to Java 8, which will require us to upgrade to Apache Tomcat 8.
